A Vital Capital Group
One Small Planet exists to shift culture beyond anthropocentrism toward a worldview in which all life is recognized as our relatives, not our resource. We pursue this through two primary vehicles: a philanthropic practice that invests in and alongside indigenous leaders who embody this cosmology; and a venture fund that backs life affirming technologies and early-stage companies working to eliminate harm to living systems. Both are guided by the same conviction that how we allocate capital is a statement of what we believe in.
A world where proven stewards of life hold positions of power. Where holistic planetary health is the primary measure of success over material wealth. That acknowledges our youth as a species on earth with humility and acts accordingly.
A world where ideas are evaluated on their merit and resilience rather than short-term profit. That does not glorify wealth addiction but rather holds generosity, kindness, and integrity in highest esteem.
A world where the model of infinite growth at odds with our finite Earth is a thing of the past. We acknowledge life as the miracle that it is and that is apparent in how we govern ourselves.
We designed One Small Planet around the four elements — the building blocks of all life on Earth. This is not aesthetic; it is structural. We believe an organization working toward ecological health should itself reflect the logic of a living system: self-sustaining in its capital, and continuously generating value that
flows outward.

The word ‘economy’ has been stripped of its original meaning. The true meaning of economy extends beyond financial transactions; it is a system of values that takes care of both our immediate households and our ultimate home—the planet.
